Robert Hucker
Principal

After beginning his career at Simpson Grierson in 1988 and gaining experience at several other reputable firms, Rob founded Hucker & Associates in November 2001. He has been engaged at all levels of the New Zealand judicial system, which includes regular appearances in the High Court and the Court of Appeal. Rob's expertise affords his clients access to pragmatic avenues for dispute resolution. Wherever possible, he provides solutions that reduce both the time and cost associated with formal proceedings, and where formal proceedings are necessary, he represents his clients passionately.

Danisha Lang Siu
Senior Associate

Danisha has considerable legal and litigation experience. She advises clients on a wide range of corporate, commercial, property, insolvency and litigation matters.

Before joining Hucker & Associates in 2010, Danisha worked in the London offices of The Insolvency Service United Kingdom as an Insolvency Examiner, investigating and pursuing regulatory non-compliance by Companies, directors and shareholders. She also worked as a general practitioner in a private law firm prior to moving to London.

David van Hout
Senior Solicitor

David has experience in a wide range of litigation in both private and public practice.

Since qualifying, David largely practiced as a commercial and relationship property litigation lawyer, which included working in the dispute resolution team at a large commercial law firm in Christchurch, before taking up positions in the Competition law and Professional Indemnity law teams at two magic circle law firms in London. After moving back to New Zealand and subsequently to Auckland, David joined Hucker & Associates in May 2017.

Rebecca Selby 
Solicitor

Rebecca spent eight years working in a boutique law firm in London, where she undertook civil and commercial litigation for investors with significant property portfolios. She primarily dealt with lessee/lessor disputes in the specialist property tribunal and in the courts. After returning to New Zealand, she joined Hucker & Associates in May 2016.

Clare Campbell
Legal Executive

Clare has the responsibility of the day-to-day management of the firm, including accounting, trust account management, IT and marketing. Clare is also a Registered Legal Executive and in this role attends to the conveyancing and trust/estate work and assists Robert with the larger commercial transactions. Clare has been with Hucker & Associates since 2003 and is a member of NZILE (New Zealand Institute of Legal Executives), ALPMA (Australasian Legal Practice Management Association) and AALA (Auckland Association of Legal Administrators)

Nicole Payne
Legal Assistant

Nicole assists with the discovery of documents and other administration duties. Currently attending the University of Auckland, she is getting a head start on her law career.

A member of the Hucker & Associates team since July 2015, Nicole works part-time alongside her study towards a Bachelor of Law and Arts at the University of Auckland. She aims to pursue a career in law after university.
